The role of Principal OHW/Electrification Engineer is a technical lead position and will be a position of authority in this space for New South Wales so a strong technical background in the industry is essential. The team is four strong at present, comprising two senior engineers and two at a more junior level. They have plenty of ongoing contracts with the Rail Authorities but in order to cement their place in the market need someone with extensive industry experience who can interact with colleague's and clients on technical matters in alignment, renewals and modification.
Our client has a good existing rail capability in New South Wales which is assisted where possible from a good network of colleague's interstate and there will also be the opportunity to work on the major projects recently won interstate.
We are aware that due to the large amount of investment in the Rail market in Australia there is a perpetual demand on the resources in the industry and this has been compounded by a continuing stream of engineering firms wanting to build a Rail capability. When it comes to people moving roles in this industry choosing between the industry players is hard as it is difficult to differentiate between the opportunities they present.
