The Project
The $200M design and build Wastewater reticulation & treatment plant is going to deliver significant enhancements to the current methods of water treatment enabling up to 90% of Mackay’s wastewater to be recycled to irrigate local sugar cane crops. The new water recycling infrastructure will reduce the nutrient load discharged into the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park by some 250 tonnes per year as well as greatly reducing odours generated from wastewater across the city.
The Role
Our client is seeking experienced engineers at all levels to help manage the design and construction of this state of the art waste water treatment plant in Mackay QLD. The role will require you to have the following experience:
- Design, construction and commissioning of pipe, reuse systems and storm water drainage assets
- Specialist services in SCADA, telemetry and process control
- Epoxy coating applications for the protection or rehabilitation of sewerage, drainage and treatment assets
- Stakeholder and community engagement during project planning and delivery
- Extensive project management and programme management experience
- In-house design capability
- Design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants
- Design, construction, commissioning and rehabilitation of sewage transfer systems, water supply and storage assets
