The Role

This newly created role of Global General Manager – Coal has been created to spearhead the company's Coal team in their future growth realistic yet exciting plans.
As Global General Manager you will be based in Brisbane, Queensland but be expected and given encouragement to travel when required to various locations around the world where my client has interests. 1 week in 6 is approximately the designated time away from Brisbane.
As the Head of the Coal team your responsibilities for the growth will encompass these core areas:

• Project valuation
• Geology, exploration and prospecting
• Due diligence and technical auditing
• Geotechnical engineering
• Mine planning and mining engineering
• Mine reconciliation studies
• Resource estimation
• Reserve estimation
• Risk assessment
• Software and technology solutions
• Benchmarking studies

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years experience within the coal industry. Some of which must be within a consulting capacity. A technical understanding and background is paramount for you to be considered for this senior role.
The roles will suit someone with not only a technical background and mindset, but also someone with a strong network within the industry.
