Construction work falls in March quarter - May 27th
The value of construction work in progress has recorded its biggest fall in almost nine years, as building and engineering firms scaled back activity in response to the economic downturn. Job ads fall 50%, worse figures are still to come - May 4th
THERE are half as many job advertisements now than there were a year ago, according to the Olivier Job Index, which shows transport being the hardest hit and expectations that the worst is yet to come as the sector braces for swine flu.
